La Mise à Jour

We have been keeping warm during these chilly Vancouver months. I named this post 'La Mise à Jour' meaning the update.. sharing with you some new things coming up.
2015 was a very busy year with lots of traveling and learning. I didn't stop to smell the roses as often as I should have as so many amazing things had happened, though I am very thankful. I met such inspiring people and learned so much more about business and even more about myself and others. This year I plan to stay busier but also to catch up on reading and writing, becoming more active and healthy and to spend more time with loved ones and getting to know new people.

So far, we have started our year with something big!
We have found a beautiful house in our favourite neighbourhood, British Properties.
There is lots to do before we comfortably move ourselves in as I am quite the Interior Designer/Decorator. I love picking the perfect furniture, decor and high pile rugs to create the perfect space for a room. I am also doing little renovations such as new kitchen counters which will be white marbled granite and a beautiful island to make it feel more cozy and giving all the bathrooms in the house a spa look.
And the room I will spend most of my time in... my bedroom which has a huge other room attached which is going to be my closet and beauty room. I cannot wait to feng shui the house. I will be sharing a home tour on my Youtube as soon as it is complete.

I have been bundling up a lot lately, but I always need to look chic wherever we go.
My style has been influenced by books I have read, my favourite role models such as Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffanys, Kate Moss during the early 90's, Caroline Eggert, and Christy Turlington to name a few. I love adding a pop of colour to a textured or layered solid coloured outfit and having a beautiful designer bag as a statement piece. I wanted to share my simple yet elegant ensemble and I hope you love the pieces as much as I do.

xoxo

Créme De La Créme

Hello my beautiful babies ! Had a busy day running around picking up packages and discussing amazing projects and website ideas that will be coming up shortly.
Usually I don't dress up this much for errands and meetings but I felt like dolling myself up today in crisp white and nude. The weather here in Vancouver has been very rainy and dark so this white coat just stood out even more as it is a pretty bright white.
The dress is beautiful, it hugs all the right places and gives a gorgeous silhouette, plus this nude shade is stunning. Both my dress and heels are from Want My Look. I love lace up heels so this Camel Nude lace up heel was definitely my go-to! The heels also look amazing with an all black outfit and some faux fur to add some texture and make the outfit pop.

Some people have asked what camera I use and truthfully I have and use three different cameras!
For my street style photos i use the Nikon D800 with a 50mm lens.
For product shots and makeup shots I use both my IPhone 6S and Nikon Cool Pix S9900

xoxo Love You Guys!

Winter Floral

I definitely miss the warmer days where I would choose from several different summer crop tops, skirts and bikinis.. but I am going to be dangerous and just mix Summer and Winter by pairing this adorable white floral mesh skirt, white Balmain bando, camel coat from Shop Maccs and lace up heels from Want My Look.
As my fellow Vancouverites know, it is pretty darn cold in Beautiful British Columbia at this time but the coat warmed me right up so I was able to get through my day ;)

Love,
Janice xoxo

UPDATE

Hey lovers!

So I just came home to Vancouver last night from Los Angeles, we had an amazing trip and met so many wonderful people. I just wanted to share that I will be starting Youtube (i know, finally) and also, some amazing news, I am a part of New York Fashion Week as a designer collaborating with Want My Look which you may have already heard of as they work with the ever so lovely Lilly Ghalichi, Gretchen Rossi, Sarah Stage.. etc.. If you didn't know, now you know :P
I am just ecstatic about everything right now and feel very fortunate and even more humbled by the amazing journey ahead.

If anyone has any questions, write me below, i will be posting a Q&A on Youtube next Wednesday :)
